Luis Alvarado (he/him)
Mental Health Therapist

Luis Alvarado (he / him) is a Master of Social Work graduate whose journey into the field is rooted in a lifelong dedication to service, empathy, and the belief in every individual’s inherent worth. Luis received his Masters in Social Work from the University of Southern California in 2020. His background spans both the service and corporate sectors, where he cultivated strong relational and communication skills while engaging with people from a wide range of cultural, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Luis brings a calm and grounded presence to his work with the belief in meeting individuals where they are. He is particularly drawn to supporting individuals seeking purpose and meaning in their lives—those reflecting on their lived experiences and striving to create alignment between what they think, say, and do. His therapeutic style invites reflection, discovery, and recognizing that healing often begins with reclaiming one’s narrative.

Luis practices from an eclectic therapy approach, integrating person-centered, solution-focused, and problem-solving modalities. He believes in co-creating a safe and collaborative space that empowers an individual to define their own goals and path forward. He is committed to practicing authenticity, patience, and cultural responsiveness toward individuals as they explore pathways to wholeness, stability, and harmony.

Luis enjoys spending time with his tripod bull/boxer Gus. Luis and Gus practice mindfulness by basking under the sun with squinted eyes and heads held up toward the breeze.
