Hi! I’m Charlycia,
I am a Certified Peer Support Worker, (CPSW). You might be wondering—what exactly is a CPSW?
In this role, my primary focus is to provide emotional support, encouragement, and practical guidance. This can be done in individual sessions or group work. I help people navigate systems, build coping strategies, and make meaningful changes, all through the lens of my own lived experiences.
I grew up in a tough environment and developed behaviors that once protected me but eventually held me back. With time, support, and access to resources, I was able to make healthier choices for both my mind and body. Now, I use that journey to walk alongside others facing their own challenges.
I have a passion for supporting people who face racism and discrimination, those in the LGBTQ+ community, and individuals navigating faith-related or cultural identity struggles. I understand how anxiety, trauma, and major life transitions can affect your sense of self—and I’m here to support you through it with a focus on both mental and physical wellness.
I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and am certified as a Comprehensive Community Support Services (CCSS) provider. If you feel like I might be a good fit for your journey, I’d be honored to walk with you.
